The new Virtus.pro roster claimed their first title under the banner at EPIC League Division 1 after a five-game series against OG.
Three months ago Virtus.pro benched their entire roster and recently moved their VP.Prodigy team into the active status as the main team. The change paid off.
The CIS team was impressive even in the group stage, where they topped the charts with a 7:2 record and landed an upper bracket playoff placement. There, they went undefeated for a dominant run to the grand finals.
OG on the other hand struggled in the group stage with a 5:4 record and 7th place finish, speaking by into the playoffs in the lower brackets. However, it was in the pits of hell that they found their grove and often trampled over their opponents, dropping only one game in four series.
The grand finals were a back-and-forth affair where VP was able to shine and prove they are a hot team to contend with, filled with new blood and fire. Drafting, shot-calling, and plays put Vitalie “Save-” Melnic at the top of the list of players to watch.
Meanwhile, Vikin.gg once again are rounding out the top of the European scene, taking an impressive third-place finish. The big question for them is will they be able to continue their performance and results when it counts in the DPC?
